Tips For Success In P90X

If you’ve got guts enough to try P90X, you owe it to yourself to give it your all. There are many things to think about before taking such a huge journey. Here I’ve included some great tips that you can use to make sure that your 90 day journey will be a success.
- Don’t Think About The Future
When going through P90X, it’s going to be tempting to try to think about the 90 days as a whole. This is a mistake. One of the best things that you could do during this program is to try to take everything one day at a time. Allowing yourself to get caught up in what you have to do tomorrow, the next day and next week will only make it harder to workout consistently. Try not to think about what’s coming up. You may decide to throw in the towel tomorrow morning. For today, just do the best you can. - Learn to Love Painkillers
The first two weeks or so of P90X will not feel good. Those first days are going to bring a lot of pain so you need to be prepared. Use ice, muscle creams and lots of painkillers. This point in the program is when you need to check your ego. Ignoring the pain will only make working out harder tomorrow. - Never Skip a Day. Period.
The people I’ve spoken to always ask me if it’s okay to skip the occaisonal workout while on P90X. You should only skip workouts after the habit of daily exercise has become permanent. In the first phase, however, don’t skip a workout if you can help it. These first few weeks of the program are crucial to building healthy habits. Think you can skip a workout and be okay? Think again, one missed workout could mean the end of the road. - Cheating Is Not Allowed. Period.
Just like cheating on your workouts, there are quite a few people who want to be able to cheat on their diets once a week. Normally I would advise a cheat day, but for P90X users the answer is no. P90X was designed with a specific nutritional plan in mind. It doesn’t make sense to trade a few days of good eating for the great physique you could have with P90X?
This is a little list of tips that can help you get through P90X. Keep in mind that P90X was designed to be intense, meaning it isn’t going to be for everyone.
