The Female Body Building Diet.

Are you a woman working hard in the gym, keen to develop your body but wondering why it is taking so long? Well, it could be your diet that is to blame. Not many women know or understand exactly what they should be eating or when they should be eating it. A good female body builder diet is just as important as well structured fitness training.

This can be a waste of energy until you have the knowledge or experience to get the results you want. One of the first things you must realise is that you need to stop eating three meals a day! It is recommend that you eat about every three hours during the day to give your muscle tissue the nutrients it needs. By only eating three meals a day you can now understand why it may not be enough.

When it comes to building muscle women will always be at a disadvantage compared to men because of testosterone. This is why the female body builder diet is important because it optimizes your ability to build muscle. If you are exercising and you are still not eating right there is a very good chance you are not getting the best results. Protein is very important. You will need to eat a lot of protein but in smaller portions.

Your female bodybuilding diet should consist of a lot of high protein foods like chicken and fish and protein shakes or supplements throughout the day. Have a big breakfast to speed up your metabolism and have a protein and fat combination before bed.

Good sources of protein and carbs can be found in the following ‘fresh’ foods:

  • Complex Carbs: Oatmeal,  Potatoes, Oat Bran Cereal and Pasta
  • Proteins: Steaks, Chicken, Fish, Shrimp,  Lean Beef, Protein Powder and Egg Whites
  • Healthy Fats:  Peanut Butter, Sunflower Oil, and Nuts

Get Into A Program

Everyone needs a bit of encouragement from time to time as doing it on your own can be a bit of a drag. Joining a good bodybuilding diet plan or program may do wonders for your motivation and could make all the difference.

It will help you put the nutrition side into perspective which is just as important as the training. There are plenty out there for you to try. You just need a little dedication and consistency to try a new daily eating regime. Why wait?…
