Is Creatine Illegal

May 11th, 2012 by Chris

I’m not sure where the idea that taking a creatine supplement was against the law, but the question is creatine illegal seems to come up a lot. The use of creatine is found primarily with bodybuilders and other athletes, though many other segments of society may be able to benefit from adding a creatine supplement to your daily diet.

Now, that I’ve answered your question is creatine illegal with a resounding "no" let’s get down to the benefits of creatine.

Creatine is an amino acid that is naturally occurring in your body. It is produced in the liver and stored primarily in the muscles. About 2% of it is stored in the heart and the brain.

The amount of creatine found in the body will vary significantly from one person to the next. Since it is stored in muscles, the more muscle mass someone has the higher the creatine levels are likely to be.

There are many benefits of adding creatine supplements to your daily diet, here are a few:

1. Creatine is thought to help speed up the muscle building process. When someone lifts weights they create tiny, microscopic tears in the muscle fiber. As these tears heal they form bigger muscles.

Adding creatine to your diet is thought to speed up this tear repair process which can lead to building bigger muscles more quickly.

2. Creatine can also increase energy levels. This can be helpful in many ways but the end result is that if someone has more energy, they can get more done in their day. Whether they are trying to power through a tough workout or just a tough workday, added energy is a good thing. Especially when it comes naturally.

The safe dosage amount varies significantly from one person to the next and that is why it is very important for anyone who is considering adding this supplement to their daily routine, talk to their doctor first.

Your doctor will be able to provide you with the safe dosage levels for you. He will know what your underlying health concerns may be, if you have any, and be able to advise you about the best supplements to help you achieve your goals more quickly and safely.

The creatine supplements come in a powder form and can be most effective when mixed with juices. Grape juice is thought to be one of the best since it is believed to help carry the creatine powder to the muscles more efficiently.

As I alluded to above, creatine can help a lot of segments of society… not just bodybuilders. Who couldn’t benefit from a little extra lean muscle mass? Since lean muscle will help keep your metabolism burning hotter all the time it will allow you to lose weight more easily.

Also, the increased speed with which muscle tears can heal can help many people, especially the elderly. An increased metabolism can also help the elderly stay more active and may even be able to help them stay warmer and regulate their body temperature.

Of course, I’m not a doctor and can’t give medical advice so you need to talk to your own doctor about the possible benefits, and risks, of adding a creatine supplement to your daily routine. But I can answer your question is creatine illegal… no, it’s not!

Chinese Weight Loss Tea-Centuries Old Very Effective In Weight Loss

May 11th, 2012 by Chris

The obesity pandemic may be a modern problem, but one of its potential cures goes back for centuries. A lot of people are surprised to find out that an apparently simple beverage like tea can help them to shed pounds. Of course it’s easy to lose sight of proven remedies from the past when the diet industry is always trying to promote the latest and greatest diet. Chinese weight loss tea has been around for a long, long time, but it’s only been recently that it’s benefits have been studied on a serious level.

While there is no specific date for when tea was first used, it is thought to have first been cultivated thousands of years ago. Chances are good that its medicinal properties were discovered rather quickly. People across a large stretch of Asia were using tea long before Europeans were introduced to it. Once people from Europe started drinking it, it became more of a social beverage, as opposed to being used to treat things; at least not to the same degree it was being used in Asia.

Chinese weight loss tea has many benefits that can help you reach your target weight. For starters, this amazing drink boosts your metabolism. This becomes even more important when you’re on a diet that limits how many calories you take in. That’s because if you take in too few calories, your body will go into starvation mode and store more of the calories you take in. You can counteract this effect, to some extent, by drinking green tea. Even if you aren’t reducing your calories to that level, you can still get the metabolic benefits from the tea.

Tea has another benefit that is ideal for anybody that is trying to lose weight: it makes you feel full. There are compounds in tea that alter the way your body releases the chemicals that tell you when you’re full. If your brain sends the message that you’re full sooner because of tea, then you can see how this would help in losing weight. Imagine, no more feeling hungry all the time when you’re trying to shed those extra pounds!

Another thing a lot of people like is that Chinese weight loss tea is totally natural. This is a concern for many people because they have heard all of the horror stories about chemical and artificial weight loss products that have serious side effects. Some of these products are sold over the counter, and others have to be prescribed by a doctor. You may not experience any bad side effects from these products, but you should keep in mind that several have been recalled over the years due to how harmful they were. Whether you want to take that chance is up to you, but remember that tea is all-natural.

As you can see, Chinese weight loss tea has a lot gong for it. You will want to drink a few cups per day to get the full benefits from this amazing beverage.

Best Way To Loose Weight-Has To Be Natural Fit For It To Stick

May 11th, 2012 by Chris

How do you find the best way to loose weight for you and your body? While calories are the ultimate test of whether youll lose weighteat fewer, burn morethe same method of cutting calories doesnt work for everyone. Chances are that if you ate the exact same diet as someone else and did the same amount of exercise, youd both lose weight. Though, you wouldnt lose weight at the exact same rate, for various reasons. But unless youre going to have your meals served to you in exact portions each day and be prompted to do your exercises, the plan has to be a natural fit for you to stick with it.

The best way to loose weight for 5000 other people might not be the best for you. Even if its the healthiest plan on the planet, it might not be right for you. Because even the most wonderful diet plan ever created wont work if you dont stick with it. And if its not right for you, no matter what the reason, then you shouldnt try to keep following the plan.

Some diet and even exercise plans are obviously not the best way to loose weight and you know it right in the beginning. If you dont like olives, for instance, a diet that hinges on eating olives isnt right for you, no matter how popular it is with other people or how many pounds theyve lost. A diet that severely restricts meat and poultry might be very healthy and easy to lose weight on, but it does you little good if you dont follow it and sneak in some meat anyway.

Finding the best way to loose weight isnt always easy. Sometimes you have to try several different plans and methods of eating before you hit on one that feels natural. Youll want to aim for a way of eating that you think you can reasonably stick with forever. So fad diets and crash diets are out automatically. You cant eat soup for the rest of your life with nothing else. And you just wont want to fast 2 days a week every week for forever! Choose a plan that you feel you can live with for the long run.

Sometimes the best way to loose weight as far as your diet goes isnt that difficult to find. But finding the best exercise to help speed your weight loss and improve your health is a little harder to find. Running is one of the best cardiovascular exercises around, and many people whove lost a lot of weight and kept it off swear by its fat-burning abilities. But if you hate to run, you have bad knees, or some other reason why its not the perfect exercise for you, then clearly its not the best way to workout.

Listen to your body and watch the scale carefully as you experiment with diets and exercise plans. When youre losing weight steadily and feeling good, youve found your best way to loose weight.

Weight Loss Pills-Do Your Homework For Safety

May 11th, 2012 by Chris

There are a lot of people out there who need to lose weight. If you are one of them you may want to try some weight loss pills to jump start your weight loss. This may be a good strategy but what do you really know about the pills you want to use? You need to make sure they are safe to use and good for you.

I know, you want to lose weight to look and feel good, I get that. But, if you go about doing it the wrong way then you will cause yourself more harm than good. My advice? Talk to your doctor about weight loss and safe ways to get it done. Your doctor can give you tips and advice about losing weight the healthy way and can also prescribe doctor recommended weight loss pills for you to try.

You need to start by revamping your diet. Now do not sit there thinking that you will never be able to ever eat anything that tastes good ever again. We are not going there. You will eat healthy and watch your portions but you will pretty much eat anything you want. It is all in the moderation of the good stuff. There are plenty of cookbooks out there that show you how to eat healthy. Pick one and stick to it. If you get bored with it then find another.

Start a healthy recipe file on your laptop, when you find a recipe you like then enter it into your recipe database so you will have it for the long haul. Next, make your meal plan for the week. Yup, pick some of those recipes and make out your grocery list from them so you are sure to have all the ingredients you need to make them on hand when the time comes to make them.

Then make sure you incorporate at least thirty minutes of moderate exercise each and every day of the week. If the weather is good, walk or ride your bike, go hit some tennis balls with some friends or go to the local ball field and smack a softball out to center then run get it. Exercise does not always mean running on a treadmill at the gym. Do something fun.

If your doctor says it is ok to start using diet pills then there are some things you should keep in mind. Like I said You need to stay safe. So, never, ever crush a diet pill or open the capsule to put in your food or drink. This will certainly be a bad idea. You will get too much of the active ingredient in the diet pill and probably make yourself sick.

Always take your pills with the recommended amount of water and stay hydrated throughout the day. diet pills act as a diuretic so get enough water to drink. Dehydration is no fun and can cause other problems.

Never, ever take more than the recommended dosage, you will increase your risk of experiencing the side effects of the drug.

Stop taking the pills if your heart rate increases to 100 beats per minute and does not come down in a reasonable amount of time.

Always follow doctors orders when taking weight loss pills so they work as they were intended.

Low Calorie Diets-Find A Balance

May 10th, 2012 by Chris

Finding the best healthy low calorie diets can be difficult, there are just so darn many to choose from. Which one should you try, are they even good for you? A good rule of thumb is that if you find a recipe you want to try, if it looks good then give it a try

It is all about balance and there is not just one perfect diet plan for everyone. If the plan you are thinking about using is so strict that you may not be able to stick with for a long period of time, it is probably a mistake. You could research diet plans and take some from each one and come up with your own, too.

It’s usually better to find a quality plan that will allow you to eat normal foods, ideally foods that you can prepare yourself at home. The prepackaged plans are wonderful but they can be expensive. Make sure you are financially ready to stay on them for the length of time you need to lose all the weight you want. Could be up to a year or more so save, save, save.

Look for a plan that gives you lots to choose from and gives you all the nutrients your body needs to be in top form. This includes some fat and carbs too. But the good ones not anything that is bad for you. Simple carbs and trans fats are what to steer clear of. Complex carbs and all the unsaturated fats are good for you in moderation. Do not deprive your body of what it needs you will just end up craving it after a while and then binge.

Your body needs some fat to survive. The problem with is most of us have way more fat than we need. Low calorie diets help you cut back on your intake of fat, calories and carbs and can help you lose the excess fat that you have around your middle, on your hips and buttocks, or where ever it is being stored on your body.

Most people who lose weight on a diet just turn right around put it all back on, plus more, often within just a few months. Part of the reason for this is the fact that people view weight loss as only temporary. They lose weight for some special thing like a wedding or a vacation and when that special thing is over they go right back to eating the way they did before the special thing. To make it last and keep the weight off forever you need to approach weight loss from the standpoint that it is a lifestyle change and not just a diet.

Ask a friend to be your lifestyle change buddy and go for walks or bike rides or go swimming. Just start moving and the rest will follow. Don’t make things too hard on yourself, if you feel a craving coming on then go get whatever it is that you are craving. Just be mindful that you do not need to eat the whole thing in one sitting. Then when the craving is satisfied get back to the low calorie diets and pick up right where you left off. No harm, no foul.

Weightloss And Depression-Improve Your Overall Health

May 10th, 2012 by Chris

It is very true that there can be a correlation between weightloss and depression. Sometimes losing weight can help lessen, or completely eradicate the feelings of depression.

Of course, if you have been diagnosed as clinically depressed and/ or are on any medication for your depression, always talk to your doctor before you make any changes.

And you should never go off any prescribed medication until you get an ok from your doctor.

And remember, I’m not a doctor and don’t know anything about you or your conditions, this information is to be taken solely as a starting point, not medical advice.

As long as you follow this advice, weightloss and depression may be able to work together for your overall health.

Sometimes we suffer from minor bouts of depression that are brought on by a feeling of low, or no, self worth or feelings of "not being good enough".

If you are overweight and out of shape all of these existing self doubts can be exacerbated to the point that it can really make you depressed.

Losing weight can help improve your feelings of self worth and help you feel better about yourself, your life and your future.

Not only the fact that you can begin to like the way you look and actually feel comfortable about your appearance, you may also get the benefit of knowing that you set your sights on a goal and you accomplished that goal.

That’s just another way of improving your self esteem and possibly dissolving the depression that you have felt.

Another thing to remember is that many of the things you do for weight loss, such as eating better and getting more exercise, will help improve your overall health.

This can help with depression if your depression was being caused by other health issues in your body.

Just helping your body get more healthy you can help rid it of other issues that can be manifested both physically and emotionally.

Also, the hormones that can be released during exercise (you have probably heard the term "runners high") can also help you feel better in general.

Our hormones can have a huge impact on our emotions. Exercise and a healthy diet can go a long way to helping with the balance of our hormone levels.

The bottom line is this: as long as you don’t do anything drastic, or without your doctors approval, there are many positive benefits that weight loss can have on your overall health and well being.

Whether it’s just an increase in some function in your body, the release of hormones as the result of a vigorous workout or the improved self esteem you get from your improved health, you can decrease your depression.

So take the first step; talk to your doctor and devise a new and improved healthy lifestyle.

If done right, weightloss and depression can help you get healthy both physically and emotionally. You can lose weight as well as lose your poor self esteem and possibly even your depression.

Weight Loss Medicine For The Morbidly Obese Not For Losing A Few Pounds

May 10th, 2012 by Chris

Obesity is a problem that is spreading at an alarming weight. With technology putting less work on us combined with the easy access to unhealthy foods, people are finding themselves ballooning up before they even realize what is happening. However obesity is no joke, not only can it ruin your appearance but it comes with more then a few health risks.

People are always looking for new ways to lose weight. From exercise to diet to weight loss medicine, there are a lot of avenues available. Diet and exercise are your best bets for losing weight. But while they may be the best way to lose weight, sometimes they are not enough and you have to turn to medicine.

There are a lot of different types of weight loss medications out there. From prescriptions to over the counter medications. They also work in a variety of ways. Some will decrease your appetite altogether, some will make you feel full faster allowing you to eat less, some will speed up your metabolism allowing you to burn off calories faster. Some do all of the above.

Prescription weight loss medications are for people who find themselves to be morbidly obese and may even run the risk of health problems. These are not for people looking to shed a few pounds to look good for their wedding or something. This type of weight loss medicine is exceptionally powerful and even dangerous if used improperly. Consult your doctor to see if it is right for you to use prescription weight loss medication.

If you are not exceptionally over weight and/or do not have health risks, there are plenty of over the counter medications for you to use. You need to be wary when shopping for a potential weight loss supplement as many are more hype then actual effectiveness. But even with that aside, over the counter medications can be a great way to augment your diet and exercise. They often work similar to prescription medications, albeit far less powerful. They can lower appetite and increase your metabolism, making your diet and exercise far more potent.

While medication is a viable alternative, you should never rely on them. If anything you should try to avoid them. Losing weight naturally is the best option. The body was made to work in a certain way, and work that way on its own. If you maintain it through hard work and proper eating habits, that is normally all it takes. If you rely too heavily on weight loss medicine you will not cure the bad habits that led you to become overweight in the first place.

View weight loss medication as merely a supplement, a way to augment other avenues. If you take this approach then it can give you an immense push on your way towards getting in shape without undermining everything you are trying to accomplish.

Like with any kind of medication there are also risks, so make sure to do your homework on any kind of weight loss supplement before using it.

Calories Burned Counter

May 10th, 2012 by Chris

By now there’s a good chance that you know 3,500 calories is equal to about one pound of body weight. In other words, you will lose a pound for every 3,500 calories you get rid of, and you will gain one pound for every 3,500 calories you add on. If you are serious about losing weight, then a calories burned counter is a tool you should make regular use of.

You will notice that 3,500 calories works out nicely to an even 500 calories per day for a week. Furthermore, there are only two real ways that you can have direct control over those calories: what you eat and the exercise you do. Yes, your metabolism plays a role, but that isn’t quite as easy to control directly. So, diet and exercise it is.

A calories burned counter will let you know how many calories you burn during any activities you participate in. This is critical information if you are trying to get rid of some extra pounds. Knowing how many calories you’re expending will help you to stay on track, and can also serve as motivation. After all, you don’t always see results in the mirror right away, but if you know you’re burning calories then you can assure yourself that noticeable results are just around the corner.

To get the full picture, you will also want to get a regular calorie counter which tells you how many calories are in the foods you eat. This way you will be able to know not only how many calories you’re burning, but how many you’re taking in as well.

Health experts typically recommend that losing one to two pounds per week is safe, and has the added benefit of being a more sustainable form of weight loss–you take it off and keep it off. Now that you have your calorie counters you can aim for a loss of 500 to 1,000 calories per day. Don’t worry, there’s no need to starve yourself or wear yourself out by exercising. In fact, it’s not a good idea at all.

The best way to lose weight is a combination of diet and exercise. Therefore, if you take in 250 calories less per day and burn off an extra 250 per day, you will lose one pound per week. If you want to lose two pounds per week, then eat 500 fewer calories and burn off an extra 500.

There is one catch that you should be aware of: a calories burned counter only works when you use it. If you never check it, then it won’t do you any good at all. However, when you do use it, you will have another powerful tool to help you lose weight. So, what are you waiting for? You can do it! All it takes is knowing how many calories you’re taking in and how many you’re burning.

Any Healthy Diet Will Help To Lose Belly Fat

May 10th, 2012 by Chris

If you’re looking for a diet to lose belly fat, then any healthy diet will do. There is no specific diet that can help you lose fat just around your belly. Any healthy diet that helps you to lose weight, will also help you lose belly fat.

You’ll lose fat elsewhere around your body, but also your belly. Some diets claim to give you a flat belly, but it’s just ordinary weight loss and perhaps some food choices that get rid of abdominal bloat. Eating foods that aren’t gassy or acidic can help make your stomach seems smaller because you reduce the gas and bloating that you might have.

Choosing foods that are whole foods and avoiding highly processed foods can help reduce bloating and any swelling that might be contributing to a larger belly. Diets that focus on real food and whole food can definitely help with this.

Metabolic syndrome is a syndrome that involves high blood sugar, high blood pressure and obesity. People with a lot of belly fat tend to suffer from this more often. It’s not known if the syndrome is present first and causes the belly fat or his people who have more belly fat are more prone to the syndrome.

One thing is certain. People with more belly fat tend to suffer from things like diabetes and heart disease more often than people with less belly fat. If you lose your belly fat, it’s no guarantee you won’t still have these problems. But losing weight no matter where you lose it on your body is a step in the right direction and can help you avoid poor health.

Processed foods and sugars are unhealthy foods. Sugars that occur naturally in fruit and whole foods are healthy sugars when eaten in moderation. Processed sugars like white table sugar, white flour which breaks down in your body like sugar, and simple carbohydrates are unhealthy sugars and starches.

Avoiding the use will almost certainly help you lose weight. Exercising along with such a diet can help you target certain areas to reduce, like your belly. A healthy foods diet combined with exercise can drastically reduce the size of your belly.

It is, however, the exercise that will help shrink the belly more than the diet. But you might find that if you’ve been eating heartily for a long time and you go on a good eating plan, your belly will seem smaller right away. That’s simply because your stomach is no longer full and bloated from too much food or the wrong types of food.

Avoiding beverages that are carbonated and full of sugar like soda can help reduce your stomach as well. While you might not be shedding belly fat to make it smaller, it will be less full of either food or the gases caused by carbonation, and will appear smaller.

So while there may not be a diet to lose belly fat specifically, choosing a healthy eating plan that helps you reduce fat all over your body will certainly help you lose belly fat as well.
