One other little tid bit of info for you. Try not to eat anything that has high frutose corn syrup in it, and try eating flax seed bread, instead of wheat bread. Also eat sweet potatoes instead of reg. potatoes. Also substitute margarine for real butter. As far as cooking oil only use extra virgin olive oil. their are some fats that your body needs to burn fat these are some of them.

Also I almost forgot the most important part drink alot of water. I always have a bottle of water in my hand. No caffine! Along with walking or light exercise. Nothing to strenuous cause it will take your sugar down especially if your not use to it. So start off slow. No reason to rush. Also the shaking was from your sugar getting to low thats why you had to eat the sugar. I hope all of this help you out.

Best Regards,

John,
It sounds like you may have hypoglycimia like I do. This makes it even more difficult to diet, because you have to keep your bloodsugar up to survive. You also must keep your bloodsugar up to around 90 to maintain a metabolism that will burn fat instead of muscle. Some of the things I do is I eat almost all of my carbs in the morning, thus giving you the rest of the day to burn them off, I eat alot of vegetables and fruits. Which the natural sugars in the fruits will keep your sugar up. I also add in a little peanutbutter and celery for snacks. The peanut butter help maintain your bloodsugar. I also dont eat anything pre-packaged. Only fresh natural things. I eat only fish and poltury due to red meat is to hard to digest, and it takes a couple of days to digest it. I take in probably around 2300 calories a day but I eat a big breakfast being probably 800 of those calories. then a snack of fruit mid morning, then a lunch of alot of vegtable and a small piece of meat to help maintain my bloodsugar. then I have a afternoon snack of fruit again, then supper of more vegitable. Sometimes if I am hungry before I go to bed I will have a piece of fruit again. Thus keeping my bloodsugar through the night. I dont eat anything 2 hours before I go to bed. But I also get up early to have breakfast. I hope this works for you. Remember there isnt a diet out there that is for everyone, each individual person is unique and their chemical make up is different. So you may have to alter things a bit to what best works for you. mostly try to eat things that maintain your sugar and doesnt raise it, if you eat somthing that makes your sugar go to high, then shortly it will drop low and you will have to eat again to bring it back up. you want to maintain it at around 90. This will keep you burning fat.
