How To Gain Weight
With the majority of people worried about losing weight, it can be difficult to ask the question how to gain weight. But some people are either naturally thin or have lost too many pounds due to stress or ill health.
What is the best way to regain weight? The answer is not to over indulge yourself as you may set up a habit that is hard to break. You need to increase the amount of calories you consume but please do this by eating more healthy foods. Whilst the occasional bar of chocolate wont hurt you, you do not want to be a thin person with high blood pressure due to eating too many cakes and biscuits.
Cook your own foods rather than relying on shop bought ready meals. You can teach yourself to cook as there are fantastic cookbooks out there for even the most inexperienced would be chef. Cooking adds an element of control to your diet. You can eat delicious meals enjoying things like full fat milk and yoghurt without having to worry about counting calories.
Be sure to include plenty of good fats in your diet. You need Omega 3 and Omega 6 fats. Excellent sources of both include cold pressed oils such as flaxseed and sunflower oils. Drizzle them over baked potatoes or over a salad.
Although you want to gain weight you should still exercise. But you may be asking how to gain weight because you spend too much time at the gym. You can become addicted to exercise so review your program and make sure you are not pushing yourself too hard. Being fit is great but there is a point when it becomes an obsession which may cause you long term damage.
Check with your doctor to make sure there is no underlying illness causing your weight problems. Lack of weight gain can be linked to certain thyroid conditions as well as other diseases and should always be checked out by your doctor.
Think about taking a tonic. Often if we have been ill or dieting for a long time, we may have suppressed our appetites. A tonic will reawaken your lurking natural appetite whilst providing minerals and nutrients in the meantime.
Consider your genetics. If you come from a family of people who are thin throughout life then chances are that your genes are to blame. If this is the case, why not accept who you are and learn how to best flatter your figure. There are plenty of outfits made for thin women just ask any of your overweight sisters!
As a nation we are obsessed with our weight and being either too heavy or too light can cause all sorts of emotional problems. So long as you are fit and healthy try and live your life to the full and enjoy it. As the saying goes, life is not a dress rehearsal so we need to make the best of it.
Obsessing and asking how to gain weight may not bring you the happiness you seek.
