2 Easy Ways To Stick To Your Diet Plan
If you thought that all diets are boring, it is time you change your mindset. Sure, a diet program in its ‘raw form’ maybe bland and boring as hell, and I know this because I too have been on a diet for several years. However, no one said that you cannot modify your diet plan, right?
Just as food becomes tastier with the addition of some extra spices, your ‘boring’ diet would also become tastier if you ‘spice it up’. In this article I will tell you how to modify your diet in such a way that you will want to stick to it for your entire life instead of hating it!
1. Arouse your creativity: If I eat the same old foods each and every day, and get bored by it one day, would anyone blame me if I quit my diet soon after? Sure; people would blame me – not for quitting the diet program out of sheer boredom, but for not trying to make my foods better by using my creativity.
If you are suggested to drink protein shakes, would you use the same flavor everyday, or would you rather use a new flavor each day? I am sure I would opt for the latter!
So why would foods be any different? If you cook the same foods using the same recipes, you will soon grow tired of your meals. So buy some cookbooks and try to find ways in which you can make your food tastier without compromising on its nutritious value or calorie content!
Believe me, there are several ways to cook foods tastily while making sure that the food remains low on calorie!
The same rule applies for exercises as well! Don’t do only abdominal crunches or only cardios all the time, otherwise you will soon get bored of your exercise routine! Use your creativity to make your workout routine exciting, in this fashion: do cardio on one day, and the very next day, do some intense workouts; next day, walk and jog, etc.
Adding some variety to your workout routine would make them more exciting for you, and remember that the more you love your workouts, the quicker you will lose weight!
2. Be open-minded: No matter how much knowledge you have regarding low calorie foods, I am sure there are many other things you don’t know. So keep an open mind and keep exploring newer varieties of low calorie foods.
The worst that could happen is that if you don’t like a particular food, you won’t eat it again, ever! But the plus side is that if you like a particular food, and it happens to be low on calorie and fat, then you can add it to your meal plan in order to make your diet more appealing!
Making such small changes in your diet will make sure that you stick to it for a long time. Keep in mind that quitters are never able to lose weight; if you are serious about becoming slim, you must stick to a healthy meal plan for the rest of your life!
By adding newer varieties of healthy and tasty foods to it, you will make sure that you never get bored of dieting!
