Weightwatchers Diet Review
Weight Watchers offers two different plans--a "Flex Plan" and a "Core Plan".
In the Flex Plan, each food is given a certain amount of points. You can eat any food that you want, as long as you stay within your point range. You will have a number of points per day as well as a few extra points per week which can be used any time you need them. Extra points can be earned by doing exercise. This allows you to eat any "bad foods" that you may be craving as long as you do it in moderation and stay within your points range.
In the Core Plan, the focus is on eating only healthy and nutritious food. By filling up on good-for-you foods, there is no room in your stomach for less than healthy "treats". You cannot eat junk foods, but you don't have to worry about counting the points.
Both of these plans are available either online or through meetings. If you decide to join online, you'll have access to the WW members-only website. There you'll find recipes, articles, and more. When you choose the meetings option, you get all the online goodies, plus you get to go to local WW meetings for additional support.
Weight Watchers has been so successful because they focus on sensible eating plans that fit in with daily life. This makes it easy to continue eating healthy long after you've lost the weight that you needed to lose. Additionally, through meetings and the online community, you have an incredible support system that helps motivate people to stay on track.
While you are technically allowed to eat anything you want when following the points system, some people have noticed that they do not lose weight if they include "junk foods". These types of people may have more success by following the Core Plan.
Either way, Weight Watchers is a great diet plan with an impressive track record. It's the diet that many people have found to be successful and they often return to it if they ever get "off track" and gain a few too many pounds. Weight Watchers is one of the best long-term diet plans available.
